I wonder how many licks it actually takes to get to the tootsie roll center of the lollipop
I hear dandelion wishes on warm summer days
I see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
I want every day to be a happy one
I am a hoper and a dreamer.
I pretend I'm a famous track star
I feel sundrunk and happy after a lazy summer day
I touch the rays of the sun as it kisses my cheeks
I worry that my kids won't remember the good
I cry every year on the first day of school
I am a hoper and a dreamer.
I understand things are out of my control
I say everything happens for a reason
I dream about living near the ocean
I try to live life to the fullest
I hope I am the best mama for my children
I am a hoper and a dreamer.
I love that you pretend you are a track star. I had a boss once who was an avid runner before her knees began to fail. She was older when I met her, but she used to tell stories about how much she missed it and when she ran, she often closed her eyes and pretended to be a wild horse. She talked about it so wistfully and passionately.
